The house is nestled in the serene Grote Berg district which is centrally located in the smallest part of the island just west of Curacao Intenational Airport. The neighbourhood lies on the northern side of the road that heads towards Westpunt.
Grote Berg was named after the Grote Berg manor which still stands today. The name of the manor possibly may not refer to the big mountain situated there on the road from Willemstad to Westpunt but was most likely called this because it was one of the very few manors with an intermediate floor.
From its central position, Grote Berg is only a couple of minutes away from some of the most beautiful beaches of the entire island, icluding Porto Mari, Cas Abou, Vaersenbaai and Playa Kenepa.

Grote Berg Curacao
Grote Berg is a residential area of about 900 lots which are developed in phases. The size of the lots is between 500 and 1200 m2, therefore offering plenty of privacy and lots of green surroundings. Grote Berg has some general guidelines regarding the architecture, but one may build according to own design. This has led to a variety of the houses available.
Grote Berg is situated on an area in the middle of the island of Curacao. It lies between the road to Westpunt and the northern coast. The higher located lots overlook Willemstad, other lots have views of the waves on the northern coast of the island.
The beaches, airport, schools and supermarkets are within 15 minutes’ drive from Grote Berg.
