Spotlight on ZenCity
January 29, 2010 - TORONTO, January 27, 2009: Globizen Property.com, A real estate website based in Toronto, Canada published an interview this morning with Reena Daswani, the Vice President of ZenCity Resort, Curacao's premier new luxury real estate development. Reena recently graduated from Wharton Business School in Philadelphia before moving back to Curacao to work at ZenCity.

In the interview, Reena Daswani talks extensively about why ZenCity is such a unique and valuable addition to the real estate market in Curacao and how ZenCity's strategic central location and pre construction pricing have allowed it to withstand the effects of the Economic Crisis. "we have actually seen a much stronger demand in the past year because the locals realize the potential appreciation value of the project due to our strategic location. As we are currently in our “pre-construction pricing” phase, the demand continues to increase from our local buyers who want to lock in their preferred units at the lower pre-construction prices"

She also talks about the prospects and attractiveness of the real estate market in Curacao for foreign buyers and expands on Curacao's sophistication as a Caribbean Destination.

GlobizenProperty.com is dedicated to real estate, architecture and urban planning. Their focus is inherently global, urban and design conscious, and content is delivered by global citizens all around the world from Toronto to Tokyo. They offer a comprehensive and consolidated online source for global property information.

Globizen chose to interview ZenCity primarily because of the way the development adds value through design. The project incorporates Caribbean Elements of Tropical living in an expertly planned masterplanned community and adds value through its design in various ways.
Daswani explains: "Large terraces are integrated within the main indoor living area through sliding doors, so essentially the entire villa can feel like one big outdoor space if desired. There are beautiful Caribbean style pergola’s attached to the bedrooms as well, giving almost each bedroom a private outdoor space. Another way we aimed to add value through design at ZenCity was by creating bedrooms which could be locked off from the rest of the villa...This is particularly interesting to our clients who are purchasing their units primarily from an investment standpoint, as their investment in one 3 bedroom unit is essentially providing them with three distinct rental options. At Wharton, a lot of my real estate classes focused on the concept of adding value to property through design so it is extremely exciting for me to work on a development where so much attention has been placed on value creation through design, location, and master planning."

As Curacao keeps developing more sophisticated, noteworthy projects, we hope that this is the first of many international recognizitions that Curacao's premier real estate developments continue receiving.
